Omnia announces development agreement with Desert Mountain Energy to integrate renewable energy into the Holbrook Basin Helium Project located in East-Central Arizona
TULSA, Oklahoma – Omnia Midstream Partners, LLC today announced a development agreement to integrate renewable energy into the Desert Mountain Energy (TSX.V: DME) operations of the McCauley Helium Processing Facility located in the Holbrook Basin, Navajo County, Arizona.
DME’s Holbrook Basin Helium Project comprises >85,000 acres of key Helium prospects under lease. Located in the prolific Holbrook Basin in East-Central Arizona, the basin is considered to be one of the world’s best geological locations for raw helium.
Due to the remoteness of the project and absence of a source for electricity, Omnia Midstream Partners, LLC, a Tulsa, Oklahoma based energy solutions developer, was engaged to design, construct and integrate an emissions-free renewable source of electricity. Omnia’s solution includes a 1.6 MWac solar energy array to meet the power needs of the McCauley Facility. Additionally, substantial banks of batteries charged during sunny days with generators will be used during cloudy and shorter winter days to provide additional power.
The solar project integrates the latest photovoltaic technology, incorporating American made solar panels, inverters, and battery storage to support the power demand of the company’s Helium Processing Facility. The 3,600 solar panel array will cover 6 acres of adjacent land, averting 1,372 metric tons CO2 emissions annually
